3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform
- Process subscription payments and manage your account
- Enable communication between buyers and sellers
- Display your public profile, collection, and listings to other users
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, offer notifications, message alerts)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Information Shared With Third Parties
We share information only as necessary to operate the Platform:
- Stripe: Payment card information is transmitted directly to Stripe for processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to information they collect. We receive a customer ID and subscription status, not raw card data.
- Resend: We use Resend to deliver transactional emails. Your email address is transmitted to Resend for this purpose.
- Discogs / eBay: When you search the Platform, your search query may be sent to Discogs and eBay APIs to retrieve external results. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
- Render: Our infrastructure provider (Render) hosts the Platform and its database. Data is stored on their servers subject to their data processing terms.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of the Platform or its users.
5. Public Information
The following information is publicly visible on the Platform by default:
- Your username, display name, store name, location, bio, and avatar
- Your public collection and active listings
- Your reputation score and verified seller status
- Your bounties (wanted listings)
You can edit or remove most public profile information at any time from your profile settings. Note that your username cannot be changed once set.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes (such as transaction records required for tax purposes).
Search cache data (external results from Discogs/eBay) is automatically expired and deleted per our caching policy.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted credential storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The Platform uses session cookies to maintain your login state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or behavioral analytics tools. We do not serve ads.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@thedollabin.com.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.
11. California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. To submit a CCPA request, contact privacy@thedollabin.com.
